Gaming has always been a passion of mine since early on, having laughs with friends all over the world. Growing up I thought it was just wishful thinking to become a game designer but after working on multiple projects and taking game classes throughout college I can see myself becoming a game designer. I love the intricacies and complexity of game design and the philosophy behind game balance and game mechanics. I believe it’s those underlying principles that have kept me playing for all these years and years to come.
In my off time, I love gaming, DND, PC Building, and playing Destiny 2!
My Game Design Progress
Throughout my four years of studying game design at High Point University, I was given the opportunity to work in a variety of settings from solo projects all the way to large group projects. I started out developing with cardboard games and card games and then progressed to working in game engines such as Unreal Engine 4. Each time I worked on a new project either a new skill or lesson was learned and those valuable lessons helped me with each subsequent project. The most valuable lesson I learned was the ability to lead effectively as well as cohesively. The runner-up to that spot would be the skill of iteration and learning that you can always improve upon your previous work and revamp systems.
